Gellent Hazman

After suffering several terrible tragedies throughout her childhood, Gellent is bitter and seeks revenge and redemption. She blames all who are similar to those who killed her mother for her death-mainly thugs, the poor, and pirates. Her view of the world has become increasingly negative and the teachings of her father figure, the reverend, have been cast aside to make room for anger and shame. Her often racist and classist messages contradict much of the original Woolian teachings and although she struggled with this in the past, she has even moved the position of the church as a whole on the issue. She often receives visions of her mother and the reverend but she can never make out what they are saying and is desperate to hear what it is so that she can fulfill their wishes. She is an incredibly beautiful woman and is fairly average in both height and weight. Her skin is smooth and tan and her hair is long, blond, and seems to float behind her. Despite her modest size, she can appear quite intimidating. She has a fairly sharp jaw line and a beautiful face with piercing blue eyes.   She was born in Vannen, a large town known as the oldest and grandest human settlement, to a recently widowed poor farmer that lived in the outskirts of town. When she was 3, her mother was robbed and beaten by a group of poor teenagers and died later that year from her injuries. This had a huge impact on the young girl and fueled her rage and hatred for thugs, pirates, and the people. A local Woolian church that her and her mother had attended took her in and raised her after he mother died as she had no other known family. The reverend and the church goers were very kind to her and she soon fell in love with both the church and the religion. When she was only 5 years old she was able to read and understand The Wooly Texts, the sacred (and lengthy) book of the church. The reverend declared that she was a gift from the ancient Woolans and would spread their message across the world. Although she didn't understand the significance of it all at the time, she continued to study and learn about the religion and its beliefs for years. When she turned 17, she became a reverend herself and began preaching at the same church she grew up in. One day, after she left the church to go on her first date with a boy, the church was struck by a bolt of lightning and burnt down, killing everyone inside, including the reverend. She blamed the whole thing on herself and entirely swore off dating because it must have been a sign from their ancestors that it was a sin. She built up the old church and became the reverend of it. In her anger and shame, she lost sight of her old ways and of the teachings of the reverend. Her sermons became more and more aggressive, with calls to end inter species relationships and to spread the religion by force.   These new teachings have changed the ways of many people, both in and out of the church, to stop caring for the poor and needy and to instead think of them as lazy criminals.
