Flora and Fauna of the Haze
Bartok the Bard's much anticipated sequel to "The Fall of Drakkenheim", "Flora and Fauna of the Haze" is an incomplete document. It was organized and compiled by Gunvorth Sinzelrak, a contemporary of Bartok, and published by the Wilhelm Brothers. Unfortunately, Bartok disappeared on one of his many research ventures into the Haze and was never seen again. Luckily, he had left copies of his notes with Hanna in Emberwood Village. If not for that foresight, we wouldn't even have this book.
What we do have are detailed notes on many of the creatures that have appeared in the Haze. Bartok describes Dregs, ratlings, garmyr, and more. Any character who manages to obtain and study a copy of this book will be able to gain situational bonuses related to the creatures described within. The greatest mystery, however, is what became of its writer. He was last seen heading into the Haze on yet another fact finding trip, was never seen again, and is presumed dead. There are sages who would pay a great amount of money for his original field notes if anyone manages to find his body.

Historical Details
Background
Organized and compiled by Gunvorth Sinzelrak from the incomplete field notes of Bartok the Bard after he went missing ten years ago.
History
After witnessing the fall of the meteor and its immediate aftermath (see his autobiographical work, "The Fall of Drakkenheim"), Bartok the Bard returned five years later following rumors that strange creatures had appeared in the Haze. Though unfinished, his field notes published under his working title have provided a great foundation for other explorers of the Haze. It is THE definitive, and so far only, work on the subject.
Public Reaction
The lucky few to have read his work were initially skeptical of the things described within, but with increasing traffic in and out of the Haze, much of what he documented has been confirmed by numerous third parties.
Legacy
Few copies exist of this book, but it is much sought after by explorers of Drakkenheim.
