Ironhelm Armored Wagon
What the Ironhelm dwarves use to transport delerium from their smithy in the Scar to Emberwood Village for sale to the traders there.
The dangers of The Haze are well documented, so when the Ironhelm dwarves set up a mining operation inside the Haze, many expected their efforts to fail. Instead they succeeded beyond what anyone thought possible. Building on their initial success, the dwarves have crafted new weapons and a new vehicle to assist in their mining efforts.
One of the most hazardous parts of their operation is transporting their Delerium out of the Haze to traders in Emberwood Village for distribution and sale. To better protect their goods and staff, and to increase the number of crystals that can be transported, Eloise Ironhelm created a one of a kind vehicle, the Ironhelm Armored Wagon.
The Ironhelm Armored Wagon has armor plating on the outside. Large, heavy iron wheels are toothed like gears to better navigate the debris strewn streets of Drakkenheim. A secure bin holds the delerium during transport and is only accessible from the outside to keep the crew separate from the dangerous crystals. A small cannon is mounted on a turret on the back of the wagon, above the delerium bin, and supplies heavy firepower to complement the heavily armed ground crew. The most closely guarded secret of the armored wagon's construction is how it is moved. Rather than being pulled by horses who could be killed or corrupted by the Haze, it has some internal source that powers it. There are some who would pay handsomely to know its secret.
The Ironhelm dwarves work in two shifts to keep production running around the clock and prevent any individual from spending too much time in the Haze. Every morning, the day shift drives the armored wagon to the Spokes Smithy where it is loaded up and the off going night shift drives it back out. Every evening, the night shift drives it in, and the day shift drives it out. In between shift changes it is covered with a heavy tarp and guarded behind the Red Lion Hotel.
