Though explorers and adventurers fill in the blank spaces of the map, the mysterious lands of Rultaar grow ever more elusive. On each of its three continents terrors lie in wait of unsuspecting mortals. After the war of the gods which shook Rultaar to its core, the known world has begun to wonder: Are the gods of old gone for good, or will they make a triumphant return?   To the north lies the frigid continent of Mordenag, ancestral home of the dwarves. Here countless wars have been fought, the most recent of which was a conflict that left the corpses of gods strewn about the mountainsides and chasms of the country lands. This graveyard of gods has become the theater of even more death and destruction, with the dwarves, elves, giants, and humans all vying for what priceless relics may remain, lost to the sands of time.   To the east lies Varhane, a massive and diverse coalition of kingdoms. This ancient and historied land is home to the desert-based dragon empire, as well as the sprawling civilizations of the serpentine Yuan-Ti, and the nomadic tribes of the minotaur and Firbolgs. It is a continent of ashen wastes, scorching deserts, lush jungles, and rolling plains. It would seem that war never stops here, something that each continent has in common, though the campaigns of Varhane have lasted for tens of thousands of years.   Finally, to the south lies Aarchatel, the sinking lands of fertile soils and fetid swamps. Here the descendants of the Eladrin empire make their homes in cities built upon the stones of ancient metropolises. Between the seemingly infinite marshlands and the sprawling mountain chains, life flourishes in the farspread kingdoms of Aarchatel. Here is where many races call home, from the nobles elves native to the continent to the newly-arrived dwarves of Mordenag.
