01-12: Repercussions
General Summary
Following their successful ambush of an Azlanti patrol at the cemetery, Cid and Krist had gone to visit Quorsica Arquinn while the rest of the Coelacanth crew remained at Aibretta's Junkshop. As the two departed Quorsica's module with a rudimentary map of the Azlanti garrison, they were attacked by a pair of security drones. Dodging the sticky bomb grenades, Cid and Krist returned fire and broke for the nearby forest. Each scored a punishing hit on one of the drones, and Cid shot it down just as the two reached the forest edge.
Meanwhile at the junk shop, a bored Torok noticed comms noise coming from Azlanti helmet. Unfortunately no one could make sense of what was being said. Then Krist, having reached the forest edge, contacted the team and informed them of the security drone problem. As the team prepared to rush to Cid and Krist's aid, Aibretta recommended releasing the hobgars in the trap as a diversion to occupy the Azlanti. Arsene volunteered to handle the hobgar trap while Ryn and Torok provided backup for Cid and Krist. Fitz remained at the junk shop with Aibretta to finish the work on Cid's jammer.
Torok and Ryn met up with Cid and Krist to dispatch the second Azlanti security drone. Arsene flew to the hobgar trap, and released the locking mechanism while suffering a few electrical blasts from the agitated creatures. They made a beeline to the garrison building, successfully drawing the attention of the cadets that had been mustering to go to the drones. Before flying off Arsene noticed a damaged electrical voice box and took it with her.
As the team regrouped, Aibretta contacted them. Quorsica was in imminent danger and needed to be taken to a safe hideout. Krist recommended using the Coelacanth. Aibretta told the team to get Quorsica to the Stables, Ludvar Kresk would be able to help. Torok and Ryn went back to retrieve Quorsica and everyone met back up at the Stables. Ludvar Kresk had restored two of the hovertrikes to working order. The damage voicebox that Arsene found belonged to the scarred dwarf, and he was grateful for its return. As the team loaded up on the hovertrikes, word came over the comms- the Azlanti were on the move in a hovertrike of their own…
