Corestone

Corestone is a relatively new material to Runetalras, as it first appeared with the Crystalline Convergence in February 533:Contempt.
Corestone is a strange material, initially it appeared very much like any mineral stone however, it is currently believed to be at least semi-organic as it is capable of growing. When corestone grows it typically does so in spines.
Corestone itself is an incredibly dangerous substance and makes the environment around it practically uninhabitable. The stone releases a poisonous miasma which has very immediate effects on mortals. Worse than the miasma is its transformative effect on mortals, it warps them causing them to grow unnatural or additional body parts and mutating them, eventually the mind degrades and a person becomes a warped one.
As of yet, no practical uses have been discovered for corestone.
Corestone can be found in all the land masses which were brought to Runetalras during the Crystalline Convergence.
