Gauros is an elderly, grouchy, and somewhat decrepit gnome, with a bald head, great while beard, and prominent while ear hair. Gauros tends to elegant clothes, or even plain clothes, but is not inclined to robes or armour. He is likewise not inclined towards either the use of magic or weapons. Gauros is an excellent researcher and historian, and is currently working with the Lords of the Storm to recover pieces of Stormcaller.
Known History
Ecthelion first became aware of Gauros when it came to the knowable of the Lords of the Storm that Gauros was in possession of a piece of Stormcaller. Ecthelion first encountered Gauros when he kicked down his door, knocked out Gauros, took the piece of Stormcaller, and left promptly.
Involvement
Gauros was encountered in the Ruined Black Pyramid on the Isle of Tasidor where he had been captured, by the yuan-ti and a spectator, while attempting to locate a piece of Stormcaller. The party freed Gauros from imprisonment on the Isle of Tasidor, and forced him to work with the Lords of the Storm to locate the remaining pieces of Stormcaller, in return for a fair wage, his freedom, and the ability to see what Stormcaller is capable of once repaired. This arrangement paid dividends when Gauros linked the phenomenon of ‘Stormcaller corruption’ to the Free State of Tel’Bacy, resulting in him, Jackson, and Estonia heading to Tel’Bacy to investigate.
