Ironwood

Ironwood is a type of tree that is typically found in the deepest and oldest forests of Runetalras. Ironwood trees are themselves dark in their colouration.
The timber from Ironwood trees is highly sought after by individuals and kingdoms for its incredible strength and relative light weight. Ironwood is said to be as strong iron whilst being as light as oak.
The strongest ships upon the Sea of Storms are constructed from Ironwood, and the Republic of Valantia has a longstanding trade agreement with Caedreon, Kingdom of Elnusari, and Old Garstil to ensure its supply and dominance over the Seas. The timber from Ironwood trees is prised by architects, siege engineers, and builders.
The peoples of Caedreon, Kingdom of Elnusari, and Old Garstil, as well as druids through the realms make use of ironwood in place of metals to create weapons and armour.
