Moons

There are two moons which orbit Runetalras.

Lûnas

The larger is Lûnas and it acts and appears as any normal moon, having a cycle of 25 days from full to full, and orbits Runetalras in a regular and predictable manner.

Anaria

Anaria is the smaller of the moons, and itself is in orbit around Lûnas, its size is much smaller than Lûnas. In contrast to Lûnas which casts a warm white light, Anaria casts a faint blue light, however, Anaria reflects much less light than Lûnas.
The orbit of Anaria cannot be considered regular, as it appears sometimes closer and other times farther away than its partner, while it can also skip days ahead in its orbit and move to where it had been days ago, Anaria has also been known to disappear entirely for days or weeks at a time.
As the light of Lûnas is much greater than that of Anaria, when Anaria passes before Lûnas it is almost imperceivable.
The surface of Anaria on occasion can be seen to be shifting or moving, and when viewed through a telescope storms can be seen raging across its surface with accompanying flashes of light.
