Sunken City

The Sunken City is a legendary lost city said to have sunk to the bottom of the Seubie River during the Age of the Elder Races. There are various tales and rumours about the city's location, inhabitance, and architecture, with some claims linking it to the deity Umberlee, sea elves, sanguine, aboleths, and even Old Gods like Dagon. The diverse accounts of the Sunken City have led many to believe it is simply a myth among sailors, but there are some who propose that it could be a real place, with the Arch Donagogue of Mysteries Herbath suggesting in his thesis Lost to The Ages that there could be many sunken cities within the deep trench of the Seubie River. Despite the speculation, there is little evidence to support the existence of the Sunken City and its true nature remains a mystery.   Despite the lack of concrete evidence, the Sunken City continues to be a subject of fascination for adventurers, archaeologists, and historians alike. Many expeditions have been mounted in search of the Sunken City, but none have returned with concrete evidence of its existence. Some speculate that the city may be protected by powerful magic or hidden by otherworldly beings, while others believe that the city may have been completely destroyed or consumed by the river over the centuries.
