Weave Stricken

The weave stricken are amongst the new races to emerge upon Runetalras, doing so during the Wars of Undeath in 533:Contempt. The weave stricken are humanoids who have had an aspect of their physical form eroded by the magical winds of the Weave, leaving them with a form made up of arcane energy.   Weave stricken appear much unlike most of the other mortal races, they are humanoids but are composed of arcane energy; this does not stop them from interacting with objects like any other race, indeed they are capable of wearing clothing, armour, and jewellery just like the other races. The energy that weave stricken are made up of is most oft a deep blue, however, it can vary from a dark violet, crimson, to turquoise or dull white.   Being made up of arcane energy weave stricken possess an innate resistance to force damage, additionally, they seem to be capable of exerting some control of force damage. They also possess a strong resistance to natural disease, a result of part of their bodies being stripped away, but they still require air, food, drink, and sleep to live.

Homelands

With the weave stricken appearing so recently in the history of the known world the weave stricken have not had much opportunity spread across Runetalras. Therefore many of the weave stricken still make their homes within the fallen city of Garthedd, although individual weave stricken can be found throughout Runetalras.

Society

The weave stricken are still in the process of creating a stable society. For most of their existence the weave stricken lived under the yoke of the Triarchy of the Crystal Catalyst, liches who were responsible for the extension of Age of Blood by five centuries and who almost dominated the known world; this has led to a divergence in the people, some believe that hierarchical society is the most function but recognise in the past it was abused, while other believe that hierarchic is too oft abused and flat and equal society is safest.

History

During the Age of Blood Garthedd’s population was made up of the various mortal races, as well as, undead, weave aberrations, and few dragons. Garthedd as the capital of the Crystal Catalyst grew wealthy and prosperous, however, the mortal races fought back and brought the Crystal Catalyst to its knees. Garthedd was besieged and an arcane explosion was thought to have obliterated the city and all its inhabitants.   Unbeknownst to all of Runetalras Garthedd was not destroyed, instead it had be teleported by the Triarchy of the Crystal Catalyst; the Triarchy had intended to teleport Garthedd across Runetalras, however, Garthedd was transported to Weave. The winds and innate energy of the Plane of Existence, over time eroded away the physical forms of those trapped within Garthedd and Weave and forever changed them into the weave stricken.   The weave sticken were trapped within the Weave for over five hundred years until 533:Contempt. Terraxia First of the Triarchy finally completed the Crystalline Staff and teleported Garthedd to Runetalras and brought the Wars of Undeath to the known world.
