20 AUG - Like a Zoo, Act II
General Summary
To Catch A Criminal
After making their way through the aquarium, all that's left was making it to the visitor center. Unfortunately, they were accosted by Manticores as they approached the barricated vistor center. (There was also a Targonian Mountain Basilisk, but it turned a manticore to stone and spent that time munching on it.) They managed to get into the visitor center while the manticores flung stingers at them and found themselves in the company of two "zookeepers". The Souper Troopers began to rush their way down to power room, casually splitting the party as they did so. This proved to be a near fatal error as the party ran into three problems all at once: the "zookeepers" were actually part of a group attacking the zoo, the manticores trying to break in, and Laccaria running into a pair of Gricks. It was a rough fight for some with their resources split, but they managed to come out as the victors in the battle royale, killing the thieves and the gricks (and one or two manticores?).
