Icathian Grimoire - Etched Tome

This symbol-etched tome was found after the events of The Horror Within. The previous owners of the book used it to perform a dark ritual during a play that released Rift Madness into the theatre and summoned a Void Entity. After defeating the cult and their summoned monster, the party liberated the book for their own research. Logi has spent a bit too much time reading this book and has both gained and lost from it.

Innate Summon

After reading the book for some time, you have learned how to summon "minor" entities from the Void. The spell Summon Aberation is added to your spells known and is always prepared (not counting against your prepared wizard spells). This version of the spell does not require material components.
Once per day, you can cast the spell without spending a spell slot, but the duration is 1 minute and does not require concentration. You must also roll on the Short-Term Madness table if you use this feature with the effects lasting for 1 minute.

Cursed Knowledge

Sometimes knowledge comes at a price. The surge of magic from spellcasting can sometimes cause the madness come roaring from within. Immediately after you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, roll a d20.If you roll a 1, roll on the Short-Term-Madness table. This affect lasts for 1 minute.
You also feel the need to continue studying the tome for more knowledge.
