Palma Flora

Despite its small size, Palma Flora is known for several things: a cocktail (named after the town) as befitting its status as a frequent vacation site for the merchants stopping in Bilgewater and shark hunting. There is an annual shark hunting tournament, and it is possible to see sea monster hunters partaking as a "calm" alternative to their normal work. A quiet alternative to life in the big city, Palma Flora has never been known to truly get caught into the politics of piracy.
Most locals live on the northern part of the settlement in various sized cottages. The southern half, also known as Flora Isle, is separated by a small bridge and holds most of the tourist destinations and the public square. Most out-of-towners stay at the Riptide Inn and Tavern near the southern shore of Flora Isle.
Just outside of town sits a lighthouse that is used as a landmark for ships navigating their way to Bilgewater.

Points of Interest

Riptide Inn and Tavern. A three story building and the tallest structure aside from the lighthouse and the location where most visitors stay. The tavern's ground floor is open to the air with a bar in the center. The seating gives a nice view out to the ocean and sandy shores. The upper areas provide rooming.
Palma Flora Distillery. Not exactly a destination, but the location where they distill a local plant into a strong liquor used for the town's signature cocktail.
Public Square. Sitting in the center of Flora Isle is the settlements Public Square. It is decorated by a wishing pool looked over by a statue dedicated to the bearded lady, Nagakabouros, in honor of the Buhru's patron deity. Most travelers toss in a copper or silver for good luck.
