The end of the day

History

Valentina and Alexei Alexeyvich started doing this when they were both really young. Because they moved around so much, they found comfort in their little rituals.

Execution

They meet up in one of their rooms where they know no one will disturb them, while they are in the Shadow palace they often use Valentina's sitting room.
Usually, Alexei Alexeyvich brings some type of snack that they ate while they discussed their day. 
Later on, Fyodor Vasilyevich often joined them as well.

Components and tools

It only really requires a quite place they can retreat to and some food. It's teh way they talk to each other rather than something they do solely for the sake of tradition.

Participants

It only requires Valentina and Alexei Alexeyvich  because it is a conversation between the two of them, their way of connecting and communicating with eachother. 
In later years, Fyodor Vasilyevich also joined them. Pyotr, on the other hand, never did.

Observance

They do this every night they are in the same place, when they are appart for too long they end up missing each other a lot. Valentina has been near to Alexei Alexeyvich  his whole life and they struggle when they are appart.
