Shubin Came To Him
This was common phrase in the Cherti Mountains before the mountains were converted to the Orthobog religion (it is still spoken by the Kholop Halflings who are forced to work in the hazardous Mines). It means that someone got into a dangerous or reckless postion.
History
The Cherti Mountains have a strong mining tradition, and its citizens are most likely therefore to stumble into the Mines of the Malachite Maid that span underneath all of Ruslavia. For this reason, they are more likely to encounter Shubin, the underground cave spirits that inhabit the mines. Although most Shubin are not malevolent, they can be as dangerous as the mines themselves, and have therefore often been associated with the hazards of mines, and through that with hazards and danger in general.
