Klingender
Lore
They say the first dwarves were carved out of the stone of the great mountain, and they were given life through the spirit of the hills, valleys, and mountains. As the dwarves came away from the rock from which they were carved, they left a great chasm. They returned to this place, no matter how far they wandered, for they felt at peace and at home here. They also found a drive to delve deep into the earth in search of something; some speculate it was magic, others think it was a hunger for gold and silver, but those who knew the feeling- Dartif in dwarvish, or Call from the Deep- describe it as a beckoning, like a loved one calling you home. To this day, it is part of dwarvish culture to heed the Dartif in a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage back to the dwarven capital Klingender, which in the common tongue translates to The Deep King's Rest.History
Klingender was the first true dwarven city to be formed as the dwarves mined deeper and deeper into The Great Mountain. Carving homes and halls out of the stone, they made room for themselves as they searched for the things the mountain could provide, and heeded the call of that mysterious voice inside their hearts. Despite the grand scale at which the dwarves crafted and molded their city, the population ballooned rapidly. At this time before the Ever-lasting Kingdom was forged, the elves of the nearby Kingdom of Kaiomanui recommended a second home that sat on the boarder of their forest domain. Klingender then experienced a great exodus, and about a third of the population migrated to this second mountain- many were reluctant to leave their generational home, but it had to be done. Obsidikrone was later founded by the dwarves who migrated.
Klingender was also the place at which the Aufgel Ruby was discovered, thus making it a focal point for the Aufgel conflict.
