Grand Army of Mantle

The Grand Army of Mantle (GAM) was the predecessor of the Atlesian Military and the central institution of the now defunct Kingdom of Mantle. The General of the GAM was historically the Head of State for the Kingdom, which operated as a Military Junta. Though called a 'Grand Army' the GAM possessed significant naval assets, though naval commanders were generally lower in the political hierarchy.
 The GAM pioneered the use of firearms and would be one of the main factions involved in the Great War, ultimately losing. The GAM was radically transformed and weakened after the ratification of Vytal Treaty, being removed from its primary role in government and reduced greatly in size. After the Kingdom of Mantle was reorganized into the Kingdom of Atlas, the GAM was reconstituted as the Atlesian Military.
