Shokuul

Immense reptile-like creatures with a wide wingspan, long snaking neck ending in a leech-like lamprey maw with rows of teeth, it has 3 small yellow eyes on each side of its mouth which retract into its head like a shark when it attacks. It has talons on the tips of its wings, a barbed tail and two legs, it moves like a bat or wyvern, but spends much of its time in the air hunting near its roost. Their scales are black with purple tint and its wings are membranous.
It is unknown if there are different genders, but thankfully only a handful of them have been recorded or sighted, most pteradax riders avoid the Iktao Mountains and the temple of Shus Below, for this is where they roost.
