Aval-ir or clay man in rumari, is a profession that is special to the rumari race. This is because the profession involves fire which the rumarians are highly venerable to.

Must be good at hitting stuff with a hammer and must have a tolerance for heat.

They are paid depending on what they make. Nailsmiths dont amke that much but weaponsmiths and artists get paid a lot.

History
Avalir used to be a common profession that mostly made weapons for war. During the crusade weapons were needed more than ever so the avalir got much respect if they made good weapons. With the recent events any hint to warfare has become a bit taboo as no one wants another war after the unimaginable death and destruction the crusade brought. Therefore some avalir have started focusing more on making art for those who could pay for it.

Workplace
Most smiths are located in the outskirts of the town because of the smoke. the workplace is usually very hot and smells like burning wood. The sounds coming from the smith is usually that of hammering or sharpening.
Dangers & Hazards
Most Aval'ir are elkir meaning they are sensitive to fire and light. To prevent this Aval'ir will cover themselves in clay to block out the light from their skin and to keep them cool in their hot workplace.
