Blood bread

Aiseld or Bloodbread as it is more commonly known, is a well known type of bread amongst the elkir. It gets its name from the animal blood that is used in the making of it.
Blood bread is a flat bread that is usually served rolled up with either sweet or savoury filling.

History

Blood bread was first made some time after the Rumarians scorched their lands for eternity with magic. This left most plants that depended on light unable to grow in the middle of rumar. Because of this a lot of dishes were made using the popular mushroom uldcap which they dried and crushed to make uldcap flour.
With this new flour the elkir who used it in the most barren lands managed to survive on blood bread made of animal blood and uldcap flour.
Although it was referred to as flour it was almost impossible to bake with on its own. So the wealthier clans added flour of barley or wheat and butter. in order to make the bread better.
Blood bread became a staple amongst the elkir as it was easy to make, required little ingredients and is quite filling.
During the great crusade the lareans used the elkirs blood bread as anti hulder propaganda saying the blood used was of their enemies. Thus, creating a rumour that elkir drink and eat the blood of their enemies on a regular basis.
The elkir thinks this rumor is very funny.

Execution

1. Melt the butter and add the blood.
2. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl then add in the butter and blood mixture.
3. Mix until the dough comes together but no more or the bread might not get the right texture.
4. Let the dough rest for a bit.
5. Divide the dough into five pieces and press them until they are round and flat with the help of flour so it doesn't stick.
6. Bake the dough on a frying pan on each ride until golden brown. However remember to use cation with the light coming from the fire or if you're making this outside in the day as the light might turn you to stone. Remember to curse the source of light for this.
7.When baked put the bread between a wet cloth in order to keep it soft.
8. wait until cooled and fill with whaterver you want or have on hand.
