winters feast

History

winters feast was originally a celebration to thank the moon godess Ydna for letting them live trough the winter and to gain her blessing for the rest of winter and for a good harvest in spring.
With the fall of the rumari empire the celebration was still widely celebrated though in very different ways depending on the clan.
With Ari the blesseds crusade and the great clan war elkir culture became more unified and the way of celabrating winters feast bacame more uniform as well.

Execution

The winter feast often starts with the whole clan gathering in one place. A great feast along with music lasts for about two nights. The celebration ends with the clan going outside in the moonlight and everyone yelling and cursing at the moon. This is to chase ydna and other bad spirits of light away until next winters feast.

Observance

The feast starts two days before the eleventh full moon in winter. This is so the full moon is there when the cursing starts.
