Dammoth
One of the earliest creatures the gods created within the second world the Dammoth were some of the first Titans made to fight in proxy for the Gods. Dammoth are aggressive, and will attack most creatures on sight.
Basic Information
Anatomy
With it's large bipedal form it's developed front arms have a thin membrane of skin extending between the claw and the body, which originally allowed it's earliest ancestors to fly. It has a large pair of horns coming from its forehead as well as two smaller spikes on either of the sides of the mouth. Dammoth skin is thick and provides excellent armor. Both front claws and back have four claws each which while somewhat sharp rely more on the Dammoth 's sheer strength to rend and tear.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Dammoth are carnvores and need to consume a large creature every day. They can subsist on medium creatures but require four times as many or eight times the number of smaller creatures. A Dammoth will chase down it's prey and take claw large chunks of their flesh, likely mortally wounded the prey allowing the Dammoth to then devoured it.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Dammoth spend a majority of their lives without others of their species within a domain that they mark to scare off others of their kind. The only exceptions is for the times when a female is within estrus and will travel great lengths leaving scent markers to advertise her fertility. Once a female is impregnated it will return to her domain to give birth. The mother will not tolerate the presence of males after the birth of her young which she will raise for two years before the child leaves to find its own domain.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Dammoth hide makes for armor as strong as steel though the leather is resistant to most dyes. Their horns and claws can be harvested to be used as various arms and equipment though they are harder than most metals and difficult to keep an edge. Titan bones hold many arcane and divine reagent properties though the hardness of the bones make it difficult to grind them down into powders. Titan meat while plentiful has very little in the way of actual flavor being difficult to cook due to it being low in fat making the meat tough and chewy.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Dammoth originally appeared in desert and tundra regions. On the mortal plane they have also been seen inhabiting the arid areas of the Forbuho.
Average Intelligence
The titan has little intelligence and instead relies almost entirely on its instincts. The ArchFey found the Titans to be so simpleminded that they were wiped out for being nuisances and bores.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Dammoth weak sense save for it's sense of smell which can tell a creature is bleeding from well over a dozen miles away. It's tactile senses are such that many smaller species able to climb a Dammoth so long as they are outside of its immediate vision.
Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms
Velocipruge have developed a symbiotic relationship with Dammoth the smaller titans removing parasites off Dammoth while feeding off of the remains of prey. A Dammoth will often be followed by a pack of a dozen or more Velocipruge.
