Military action
The breed races go to war with humanity in an effort to check their rampant expansion.
When the Expansion War began humanity had grown large but spread thin. Their numbers were drasticlly cut down in the first year of the war but soon the nations of mankind began to band together to protect each other and mankind soon proved itself to be a formidable foe. After the first year of fighting the Halfling sided with humanity while the other races aided one or the other and often both. It was in the year 2604 when the Halfling betrayal was discovered, the Halflings had supported humanity but leaked sensitive information to the Dwarves and Elves. Humanity turned its attention to the Halfling communities within their cities and imprisoned most Halflings. With the sheer number of their relatives rounded up by humanity the Halflings surrendered and gave vital information to humanity which turned the tide of the war leading humanity to a decisive conquest within the year. The elves were able to learn magic faster and in greater numbers than men it was the Reign of man which created new spells to better combat the enemies of mankind. Dwarves had sharper swords and stronger armor but humanity had created more advanced weapons. For every masterwork bow the Dwarves had mankind was able to arm ten men with crossbows. While Dwarves hid in their fortification men had built siege engines to tear them down. The Halflings originally played both sides spying for the non-humans while claiming to be neutral,. Tieflings joined both sides with many settlements turning on themselves fighting each other more than they fought other sides, with no real leadership they split into factions that were either for, against, or abstained. The Half-Orcs mostly sided with humanity though too few were able to do anything and most were not trusted a few nomadic tribes of Half-Orcs fought against men. Dragonbreed were the only race to stay neutral through the entire war they profited heavily from trade to both sides but never joining in the actual fighting.
