The Undying Dragon Mace

Manufacturing process

Once thought to be a relatively common spiked mace found in a mass grave with similar weapons, upon closer examination the Undying Dragon Mace was revealed to be made of silver infused with a previously unknown form of magic, suspected by some scholars to be Dragon in origin. The spikes on the mace appear to be made from dragon teeth, but how such an object could be made from the remains of such beasts whilst also carrying a sign of their approval is beyond even the most dedicated scholars on the subject.

Significance

Because this item is a totally unique find with much to gain from its study, it has been moved to a secure location at the centre of the Symposium, where it is studied by a team of experts on supernatural biology and magical weapon manufacture. This group is led by veteran researcher Professor Gazali Jakande, a long time associate and friend of Professor Yuri Kobayashi, one of the few outsiders to the project to ever gain direct access to the mace.

Rarity

It is so valuable for two main reasons. The first it that is the only weapon of its kind to ever be found anywhere in the world. Many archaeological digs have tried in vain to locate similar weapons, but to no avail. The second reason for its value is that nobody has ever been able to replicate either the method of production or the magical effects linked to the mace. Because of this, some Magi suspect that it might be a unique weapon related to a forgotten old God, but these theories are merely baseless speculation.

Raw materials & Components

The mace is made from solid silver with its spikes being made of hard, incredibly sharp bone which does not seem to degrade. The mace is also very easy to swing and feels suspiciously light compared to similar weapons.
