The Snow Elves develop a magitech device that can genetically alter the bodies of something into another for a short period of time.

In response to the growing fear of another Atlantean Zealot attack, the Snow Elves develop a magitech machine that genetically alters a body to suit any environment for approximately two hours. While the machine was initially meant to make trips to Atlantis much easier without the use of too much magic, the Snow Elves find a use for it in the Lunar Alliance's military as a deterrent for Atlantean Zealots who attempt to invade the land on foot. Upon being struck with the machine's beams, they would become fully aquatic life forms for two hours, preventing any survivability and ensuring the safety of innocents.
