Adventurers from Ralaneas discover a massive sea serpent that they named Valnero. Attempts to slay it have either been prevented or failed as it acts as both a potential threat and a natural guardian to its residing land.

Adventurers from Ralaneas travel to Serpent's Crag to find out its namesake and discover Valnero, a massive sea serpent. Its predatory nature presented itself as a potential threat to the towns it lived close to, but all attempts to kill him have either been prevented before it could start or failed miserably. Since Valnero already acts as a natural guardian to Serpent's Crag, killing him would prove detrimental to the safety of Ralaneas, making his very presence a double edged sword.
