King or Queen of Kwazi

The Top Hierarchical Position in Kwazi

  • Used to only be King by the eldest son, but in 777, the law changed to the eldest child.
  • The 1st Queen of Kwazi was Odillea Burgae Dressler, her reign lasting from 1017-1089, aged 17 to 72. She continued her education at school the first two years of her reign with a tutor to help her at the palace if necessary.
  • How the Crown is Passed

  • If the royal couple has no children, then the Ruler picks three candidates from each region drawn from a pool of entrants on a specified "Draw Day"
  • Candidates must speak fluent Kwazi and English
  • ~ The people then vote between the three final candidates, but the Ruler still has the final say

    Reign

    • Lasts until the Ruler's death or until he or she steps down

    Public & Government

  • A citizen of Kwazi can send a proposal to vote on an issue, propose a new law or issue. He or she may also send in a written form of communication to comment on an issue/law in favour of or against it
  • --> If the Ruler approves, the people decide & the current Ruler has no final say (future Rulers can change it if they want to)

--> If the Ruler doesn't approve, the public can try up to two more times by tweaking their proposal--the new proposals can be made at any time during the current Ruler's reign, or until a new proposal comes along

  • From the time the first proposal of an issue is sent in the the current Ruler, a new one cannot be sent in for a minimum of one year (365 days, even if a leap year)
  • ~ Proposals do not happen extremely often, though usually there is at least one proposal sent forth within a person's lifetime (current estimates by the royal family are about once every 50 years)

    Royal Assistants

The current Ruler always has an advisor and diplomat who are beckoned at his or her call. How frequently they are called upon depends on the current Ruler who can choose to use them for all decisions or next to no decisions, leading them to have more independent lives from the royal family while living in the grandeur of the royal palace.

    Rumours & Legends

The most famous rumoured legend among children is that Kwazi is not in fact a peninsula, attached to Spain by its east side, but that its west side is connected to an underwater country
