Ferenrib

Ferenrib was a Zeribian prince of (island name), the son of (name) and Ušani ('she who reverts'), but married a water spirit and lived the rest of his life under the sea in the palace of Feren the god of the sea. He is known from the myth of (myth). He is venerated as a great ancestor, a spiritual leader forging friendship between the Zeribian people and the Sea.  

Life story

He was a young prince and an heir to the throne, until he fell in love with a member of the Sea Folk, a servant of Feren the God of the Sea. A delegation from the God came to his father's palace in disguise, and begged for his hand, but the king did not realise who they were. Thus in his arrogance he mocked Feren's representatives and sent them away, thus angering the Lord of the Sea. The god the killed the king and took Ferenrib captive. His mother send a fleet to save Ferenrib, but they could not outrun the God, who then took Ferenrib to the Coral Palace. In the end it was revealed that Ferenrib was willingly marrying the water spirit and deciding to live the rest of his life under the sea. The god also gifted the members of the king's fleet with spouces from his people as a token of their bravery.
