Telepathy
Users of telepathy are able to transmit and receive information with their minds. Telepaths can only communicate with other telepaths and the receiver must allow for a connection to occur. Multiple telepaths can communicate with each other and form a sort of mental 'peer-to-peer' network. The strength of the links also changes linearly depending on the number of minds in the 'swarm.' Information also seems to be transmitted instantaneously, or at least without a perceivable delay.
Even without active connections, telepaths are able to sense other telepaths and receive passive information such as general well-being or emotion. Though this information can be blocked from leaking through concentration.
With a single active connection formed, information can be transmitted auditorily. The receiver will be able to hear the voice of the transmitter as if they were physically in the same area.
As more connections join the swarm, the connections' strength grows as does the detail and magnitude of information transmitted. With ten telepaths in the swarm, complex visual data can be conveyed. This data is visualised in the receiver's 'mind's eye.'
With even larger groups, whole realities and mental spaces can be created and populated. At this level, each user can manifest a mental double to inhabit this shared mental space and interact with the avatars of other connected users.
