Day of Victory

A festival held in celebration of Avandra, the Change Bringer on Spring 30.

History

The Day of Victory commemorates Avandra and her army's victory over Asmodeus, the Lord of the Nine Hells, and his devil army, during the Great Calamity. She is said to have tricked Asmodeus's devilish armies into fighting one another, then killing him in the midst of the confusion.

Observance

The Day of Victory is a joyous occasion, where participants not only celebrate Avandra, but the valor of the brave adventurers who fought by her side. Participants typically dress up as adventurers with modest clothes and copper tools. Festivals are set up, with plenty of foods and games to enjoy.
In larger cities, parades are held. To be invited to walk in a Day of Victory parade as an adventurer is a huge honor.
At sunset, the ritualistic "Dance of the Devils" is performed, depicting the story of Avandra's deceitful victory over Asmodeus.
