The purpose of this World Anvil is to help get you all familiar with the world during character creation, as well as remember important people, locations, etc. during the campaign!
The Player Handbook contains some tips on creating your character, as well as common knowledge about the world available to all inhabitants. The Players tab may or may not be used to keep record of homebrew/player-specific content in the game. Finally, House Rules will keep a record of homebrew rules as well as preferences stated by the players at Session 0 and beyond.
The Party Journal keeps a record of knowledge the party gains over time, whether that's meeting an NPC, investigating a dungeon, etc. Gathering a sufficient amount of information on something in game will result in its journal entry being unlocked.
