Held v'Tor

Held v'Tor (a.k.a. Prince of The Lost)

Little is known of the human which was once Held v'Tor. Conflicting reports emerge from the Exile - some say he was recognised as a gifted mage aged two, some that he killed his mother from the womb. In truth, he seems to have led the normal life of a provincial Levera (Life-Force Mage) - helping farmers, and curing the sick, until a few years before his grand experiment.
By then, all sources agree, he had moved to the city of Torbold - now ruined and the site of Conrad's Gate. Here he gained followers to a magic-religious cult known as the Temple of the Creator. Such groups were not uncommon before the Sanctorum - when magic was still considered an expression of worship to the Creator. The Temple of the Creator, however, secretly planned to use Bluver (or 'blood magic') to directly enter the Creator's Realm. Few outside the most senior mages involved knew that their non-mage supporters were little more than fuel for the journey.
The movement quickly took a millenarist turn, with supporters attacking the rich, and calling for common property. The hostility of the city government forced Held v'Tor and his followers to move the an abandoned Tetra mining outpost in the Western Mountains called @Thatvar. Here, in the 7,542nd year of the Age of Heroes, Held v'Tor attempted his ritual - the Breach of the Creator's Realm.
Since then, he has been Empty. His form was seen three times in the invasion of Sammerden, and once at the beginning of the Exile. Since then, no human eye has beheld him and lived. All physical descriptions of him rely on reports written in haste a millennium ago, and assumptions based on the body of Kar d'Tok (one of his lieutenants) who was slain in the purification of Calthor

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Held has been completely transformed by his (brief) experience in the Creator's Realm. His skin is is ossified bone, his feet fused into cloven hooves, and demonic horns grow from his skull. His physical condition is largely unaffected, moving as swiftly and agilely as when he was truly human. The bone is alive, and regrows - he is no longer animated by muscle, but pure hate.

Body Features

His skin has been transformed in to pure bone - his assault deprived him of all blood and flesh. Additionally bony growths protrude from his skull, forming a crown and demonic horns. His feet are fused into cloven, bony hooves.

Facial Features

His face ossified with the rest of his body, depriving him of lips and eyes. Five small spurs erupt from where his eyebrows used to be, forming a grotesque crown. Three further horns flow behind his head.

Apparel & Accessories

He retains the clothes he entered the Creator's Realm wearing, those of a Bluweke of 1,000 years ago

Mental characteristics

Education

The Magic Guild of the time.   Excelled at blood magic, and helped on theses relating to the relationship between magic and the Creator.   Official disapproval of this study, though he managed to spend his time training just on the right side of the law.

Employment

Established a magical practise in an Western city (now where Conrad's Gate is??)   Continued research into Creator-based magic   Eventually rose to local prominence, gave up day job, and financed his work from supporters/donations

Accomplishments & Achievements

Aged 40, he published his work "The Use of Magic To Perceive The Creator"   This marked the foundation of the Creator Circle - his institute to research magic capable of reaching the Creator. Originally popular only among mages, and young ambitious mages. Aged 48, it went mainstream, and began to recruit non-mages. Began to function a little like a Doomsday cult/anti-wealth popular political movement.   Tension forced him out of the city he was working in and, fearing worldly politics would crush his dream, he moved the Circle out to the Western Mountains (a ruined dwarven mining town?). There, aged 52, he and his followers used huge amounts of Blutwerke to transport themselves to the Creator's Realm

Failures & Embarrassments

His greatest achievement was his greatest failure - his hubris and pride had blinded him to the greater truths of the Creator.   He and his followers were flawed - their souls contained some good, and some evil. The Creator's Realm is one of pure goodness, and those who made it through had all goodness absorbed, and the remnant (deprived of their souls and any instinct for goodness) became the Lost

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Since being stripped of all goodness and human qualities, Held is motivated only by the purest evil. He can no longer conceive of good. He, more than any other being in existence embodies true evil.
