Warden of the Sentinel Order
The Wardenship of the Sentinel Order is a hereditary responsibility of the Lords of Firstfort, the centre of the training for the most elite of the two Sentinel disciplines - the White Sentinels and the Black Sentinels.
While the Dux holds the title of Lord Keeper, responsible for all aspects of the Order, and directly dealing with each Commander-Knight of the various disciplines, the Warden is an important rank in ensuring the continuing effectiveness of the elite arm of the Sentinels. They oversee all training for recruits once the Selectors assign them to the White or Black, all provisioning for the training camp, and approval for their graduation into the Order.
As the provider of the premier Royal bodyguards, the Warden has significant prestige and influence when petitioning the Crown on behalf of the Sentinel Order, while the Lord Keeper remains focused on the internal leadership of the Order
Appointment
The Wardenship is hereditary alongside the Lordship of Firstfort (where the training camp is based), though it is reconferred each time by the King himself in Calthor.
