Flying Lampreys
Lampreys have horrible rows of circular teeth and the capability to latch onto living creatures and rend their flesh with a disturbing sucking sound. But fortunately they can generally be avoided by remaining out of the water. However, in the conditions of these caves the lampreys have found they need to jump from puddle to puddle of occasion. They have learned how to spread their mucous in such a way that it catches the air like a glider and lets them fly for some ten to twenty feet at a time, some even recorded as jumping as far as 40 feet to find prey out of the water.
