Ponder
It is said that in some caves deep within the still and untouched that you might find a Ponder. One must skip a single stone across the water three times. No more and no less. With each skip, the stone is reflected back on the crystal surface of the water until it plunges with a soft plonk.
Sometimes the stone is thrown back the reflection playing under the surface of the water until the stone plinks back out of the water and clatters onto the shore. It is said that as you stand from picking it up the water will meet you, a reflection of yourself.
It is with the help of a good Ponder that a great many philosophers have found their greatest insights.
Basic Information
Anatomy
When a Ponder chooses to emerge it is a watery reflection of whomever called it with the stone’s throw ritual. There is no mistaking it for the actual person, it is clearly animate water shifting and approximating the person rather than flesh and blood.
