Titan's Fist

The Titan's Fist represent the law in Gorgoth. It is said to be descended from those few who served the Brass Titan directly, hundreds of years ago before he went into slumber. Nowadays, they simply serve him in spirit, or so they say, by trying to keep control over the affairs of Gorgoth.

Structure

Internally, the Fist is led by two accomplished officers called the Right and Left Hand of the Titan, whose responsibilities include looking into disputes between the Sultans and micro-managing their underlings. The higher officers beneath them are referred to Ring-Guards, who will answer calls from their underlings for more experienced hands as well as the direct needs of slave masters and foreign issues such as slavers, immigration. The rest of the organization are those who deal with slaves themselves and do the dirty work that is delegated to them.

Public Agenda

They are the official issuers of the Mark of Brass, the key to citizenship in the Valley of Tears, and thus they are also the enforcers of the rights it provides. This mostly includes rooting out slaves who steal or otherwise obtain them illicitly and doling out punishment, most often by throwing them in the Pit, as well as managing disputes between citizens, again mainly on slave related problems.   They are also the ones who enforce the Sultan's Code, but only when it turns out that the sultans cannot handle it themselves.

History

By the sheer amount of the varied peoples and organizations in the canyon that houses Gorgoth, the need arose for an impartial team to step up and manage what disputes occurred. The mantle ended up going to what at that point was a mercenary company who operated under the banner of He Who Sleeps. Their name eventually became synonymous with the law of Gorgoth, which if anyone is being honest, is not saying much.
