He is prayed to for bountiful fishing trips. Having been said to help snag large fish when normal fishing lines should have broken under the pull. A popular choice among any who venture the seas for long periods of time, many of them living off the waters and the sea or maybe they simply pillage other boats or search for treasure under the waves. Whatever they may do on the open sea, usually most who venture out deep into the oceans are very superstitious and tend to look to Deep Sashelas for comfort. Deep Sashelas is a protector of humanity, though he protects the oceans as well, watching over both people and animals. Usually he warns sailors with storms and thunder. Sometimes it is said he fights dragon turtles for fun and to keep their numbers from over-populating the sea and destroying the ecosystem of the waters. He leans more towards humanity seeing the waters and its sea life as beautiful and pure but also as a resource that provides.
