Mielikki

Mielikki; neutral good, goddess of forest. She is known to be a protector of sorts, valuing nature more than civilized cultures. She is said to wield a bow and doesn’t unusually make appearances to mortals. She usually appears to help any who lose their way but doesn’t seem to have a large following. The ones that do worship her as their goddess tend to be of the nature loving types. Beast men, druids and some farmers. Mielikki believes that the purest state of the world is in nature when it's untouched. Seeing nature as a beautiful and fragile thing that needs protection and nurturing to maintain.
Mielikki has also been known to help wildlife in both the good and evil alignments to preserve the balance and order in the ecosystems that exist. Yet she will put down any beast that doesn’t belong and any who would purposely bring harm to the woods.
Mielikki values a kind heart in people, the type of heart that gives to nature and nurtures plants. Even though the god is seen with a bow she is said to appear as all sorts of wildlife at times, or to speak through them with messages.
Nature can be both beautiful and dark, and Mielikki embraces both sides of this understanding that without death in nature that the beauties can not flourish. All animals of the forest seem to calm down in her presence, man eating beasts act like kittens with her. Though the more intelligent beasts usually have a bit more of a mind of their own. Though they usually still become calmer in her presence.
