Talona

Diseases and poison are the domain of Talona, it is said when crops become sick or when livestock become diseased it is due to her. She appears as a drow like elf, sickly pale yellow skin, black oily hair and looks emancipated. Her face is covered in tribal tattoos and she wears bracers and a thin silk scarf. Talona believes that sickness and diseases are a pathway to evolution and strength. For what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger in her eyes. She is believed to be evil and mad. Her followers are usually sickly and few between. Mental health and physical health are things she is said to toy with. Creating deformities and cancerous beings that roam the lands infecting everything in their path. It is said those who shun or strike infected by her plagues are plagued with disease for the rest of her life. Because she believes that outside interference should never affect or determine the outcome of infected followers. She believes that through their suffering they will ascend to greater evolution. And any who takes that chance of ascendance from her followers suffer her wrath ten fold. Because of this most people are afraid to get near sick people and try to ignore them in fear of being stricken with plague or sickness. It is said most things poisonous or toxic are directly created due to her infectious presence causing animals to deform and evolve due to disease. It is said she appears when times are bountiful and peaceful to spread sickness in hopes of forcing others into evolution or to become stronger. She is known to have a short temper and can be very jealous of mortals for their acceptance and love. She has been known to infect couples with painful diseases out of envy or hate. Diseases that have no purpose but to cause pain or regret. In folk legend if you see her near your village it spells imminent famine but if you see her it's usually too late to run. Her followers tend to be prideful of their diseases.
