The Pantheon of Gods

The Pantheon of gods was created after the War of the Gods; it was an alliance that was formed to protect the mortals of the realm and to insure that other gods kept out of the affairs of mortals within reason. It was made to insure that no one god would rise to absolute power and to solve conflicts among gods with peace instead of all out war. The idea was given to Pelor, by the God of Fate; Savras.   The Pantheon has several different gods, most of them good in nature with a few neutral entities. There as much as it is an equal place for the gods to voice their concerns, opinions and views. There is one who founded the Pantheon that seems to be the head of the table or the leader that most look up to; Pelor. Even though he made it as a round table of gods, his opinion has more sway than most gods whether it be out of fear or respect.   Pelor; the god of the sun, may be the founding God however there are six others that have agreed to this alliance among gods. Selune; goddess of the moon, creator of the lycanthropy curse. Deep Sashelas; god of the sea, both the nurturing and destructive power of the ocean. Ralishaz; God of luck and ill luck, keeper of balance ensuring no one mortal suffers only ill luck. Olidammara; goddess of festivals, known to be the most lively out of the group and tends to show up during the most festive of parties. Although she does interact with mortals more than other gods, she doesn’t interfere with parties or mortals. Always disguising herself and enjoying the music, food and company. Roa, goddess of peace and reason; often trusted with giving her honest opinion on the fairness of judgements among her fellow pantheon members. She tends to be the most serious and intense of the Pantheon. Mielikki; goddess of nature, was the last to join the Pantheon but she almost didn’t. Mielikki tends to care more about animals than civilization there for watching over mortals isn’t really her thing. However she’s been known to take pity on mortals that lose their way in the woods. After refusing the offer Pelor made, she was visited by Savras who convinced her to join the Pantheon if not for mortals then for Nature. To ensure that equal judgment and consideration was given towards nature and the life that sustained mortals.   There are many other gods that are not part of the Pantheon but the Pantheon is not the only alliance among gods. The Dark Court was formed as a counter towards the Pantheon. Although its members hold more evil and chaotic gods who aren’t as loyal to the cause as the Pantheon gods are to theirs; they agreed to this alliance to insure their own survival. The Pantheon knows about the Dark Court but to avoid another War of Gods, seek a more peaceful coexistence with them.   Pelor designed the Pantheon to govern the gods but also to protect humanity and mortals from another cataclysmic event. Since gods draw their power from mortals, followers and servants. They lost a great deal of their powers after the war and had to combine powers to keep control over Treskri and to hold sway over mortals they founded the Pantheon. The gods of the Pantheon are both governors of mortals and protectors. Giving mortals help as well as protecting them from threats of the cosmos. These gods seek to regain the power they lost with the war and to bring prosperity and wealth to their followers. To see the world of Treskri grow and flourish.
