What’s the last nightmare you remember having?
The last nightmare Rodger remembers having was after he said goodbye to his daughter most recently. It was a funeral for Matilda, but she hadn't been killed in battle in the abyss- she'd died of old age. Time dilation stealing his daughter's childhood being one of his greatest fears, it was made doubly worse with the attendees of the funeral; all his worst enemies such as Gazra and Acererak. Approaching the font of holy water by the open coffin, his reflection bore the hand and eye of Vecna. At least once a week Lostin has the same nightmare about being chaced by some massive bull dog. It slobbers and howls while it chased his down. He can feel the hot, heavy breath on the back of his neck. It almost always ends the same. Lostin on his back desprately clawing as the massive jaw nearly twice his size decending on him as drool covers his face. A nightmare Seom experienced recently started out with him facing Asmodeus in a fiery pit while being bound hand and foot with adamantine chains and nailed to a crucifix. While this had him sweating a bit, the dream truly became horrifying when the devil transformed into Narlack the Pitiless, the man who reared and abused him as a child. Seom bolted straight up out of bed and wasn't able to sleep the rest of the night. Miles last nightmare he had was him being trapped in a semingly endless sea of strangers that he could escape from. For Ark Greyhaven, the last nightmare he had was right after facing his parents atop the fogged hill. Ghoulish hands would constantly try to drag him into the mud before the faces of his parents appeared in front of him, slowly withering away into dead husks until his own flesh followed suit, him waking up in a cold sweat. The trauma of both his parents working for Acererak and having to end their undead lives still shakes him to the core.Synopsis
After exploring the connecting hallways, the party ventured toward a cave full of silver mist swirling with strands of gold mist mixed in. After much deliberation, some more mouse testing, and a short rest, miles stepped in. The mist entered his lungs and almost causing him to collapse if not for the magic of Ark and the power of friendship. Exploring deeper into the cave Miles found a fey named Siren with two burlap sacks near her. After much trying, and Rodger breathing the swirling mists as well, she was eventually rescued by a succesful dispel magic by Ark who promptly volunteered to escort her out. The party explored deeper and (Wheyzsey) found a secret room behind two locks, one of which they had the key for and the second of which exploded said key when inserted.The party is now on the lookout for a second key. Looking into a second secret door the party was infomed about 4 large, black, iron, statues holding meanacing weapons. Taking no risks, the party then tossed in a sickening radience and closed the door, barring it with the force cube of Wave. There was no result, leaving the party to assume the statues are inert.
