Elemental Crystals

In the primordial beginnings of the world, it started with two crystals. One made of pure light, and one of shadow. Ying and Yang, Dark and Light, Fire and Ice, Order and Chaos. Swirling together over the ages, the energies mixed until only a single crystal remained, a balanced mix of energies that would, in time, split to become the Elements as we know them today; Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Light and Dark. Myth holds that there exists crystals of the elements deep within the hidden parts of the world, large remnants from creation that could be harnessed by those with sufficiently powerful souls.   When the Caliban Shattering happened, small shards of elemental energy were formed and scattered through the realm. Lost though the years, they were rumoured to be the crystals for Fire, Earth, Air, and Water; With Light and Dark having no physical forms, only the Hope of the Civilized Races and the unrelenting Brutality of the Natural Order.   The Earth Crystal, holds the power to enrich soil, bring veins of ore to the surface or transmogrify one vein into another, and can reshape the landscape on a whim.   The Fire Crystal, can create or extinguish flames, increase or snuff out the heat of a flame while letting it burn, and even allow the smelting of Adamantine ore into something malleable.   The Air Crystal, allows one to create whirlwinds that can use used to raise to new heights, create platforms of clouds, and allows one to modify the pull of gravity on an object, person, or group of people   Finally the Water Crystal. Creating and purifying water to use for potions, drinking, and cooking it can also allow one to create passages in bodies of water that could only be passed with a boat or ship, and rumor has it that the waters from the crystal can be focused into the restoration of wounds that would otherwise be beyond the help of all but the most powerful of Clerics.
