Garnwald - Aerodrome
The Aerodrome never sleeps. This is where the Airships from near and afar arrive to load and unload goods and passengers, and where those with the means for it can buy and upgrade their very own airship. It is connected to the city through the Gates of Gold, and of course by skycoach. At the centre of the district is the Aerodome itself, a huge, flat area with landing pads, hangars, workshops, smithies, sailmakers, and all the other trades one need to maintain airships.
There are three different shipyards, who each specialise in their own kind of airship, military airships, trade airships and leisure airships. All three shipyards have docks for repairs and docks for building new airships, and they are always busy. Decks, hulls, propulsion, armaments and weapons can be upgraded, or installed, if the captain, or owner, has enough gold to pay for it.
As one expects, there is also a rather large marketplace in the district, where most of the merchants sell exotic goods that has just arrived, or items needed for airships. Along the outer wall several pubs and inns cater to the sailors needs, be it a place to drink before the next journey, or a bed to sleep in while the ship is in dock. Some of these pubs and inns are reputable, with guards who keep the peace, and lavish rooms for noble guests, while others are hurriedly built by scoundrels who are out to make money on drunken sailors.
The excitement is always huge when ships from other planes arrive, Spelljammer ships, who have crossed the boundary between worlds, and who often bring exotic goods, and crew. In such an event, the guards triple their presence, to make sure the Blood Wars doesn't spill into Sanres, and to both guard the sailors from the citizens and the city from the sailors. Spelljammer crews are confined to the Aerodrome, and only the noblest, or most cunning, make it in to Garnwald proper.
