Garnwald - Port Districts

The Port Districts, more commonly called "The Docks" used to be the heart of the city. Ships from the other ports arrived and departed, and brought with them goods, people, and even ideas and knowledge. After the Aerodrome was built, the Dock was transferred to an empty district full of warehouses and little else. This has made some people calling it "The Warehouse Desert".   Most of the buildings in this district are large warehouses. They all have their own guards and workers and almost all of them have been retrofitted with access to a landing pad on the roof, so goods can be easily moved to, and from, the Aerodrome, or throughout the city. A few of the warehouse owners also removed the large doors that was used for carts and wagons, making it harder to enter the buildings for burglars and the like.    Scattered among the warehouses you will still find a few pubs, mostly so the guards have somewhere to eat, and drink, during their breaks. Some of these pubs are more like fast food joints though, serving food that is easy to make and easy to eat.    The old dock, the old shipyards, and the stores where sailors bought what they needed for their ships, and sea voyages, have mostly been closed, as the owners realised that they should move their business to the Aerodrome.
