The Myth of the Elemental Genesis
In the time before time, when the universe was a boundless void, there existed the inner planes—realms of pure elemental essence. These inner planes were home to powerful beings, masters of their elemental domains. The Celestial Weaver, Eldros, emerged as the embodiment of cosmic balance and creativity, seeking to weave these elements into a harmonious world.
Eldros wove the threads of existence, crafting a grand tapestry upon which reality would take form. Yet, this tapestry remained incomplete, as the threads lacked connection and purpose. To bring life to the cosmic design, Eldros invited twelve beings from the inner planes—each embodying an elemental force—to lend their essence to the tapestry:
Aelora from the Plane of Radiance, representing light and purity.
Tharok from the Elemental Plane of Air, embodying the winds of change and storms of emotion.
Lyria from the Plane of Illusions, bringing the gift of trickery and wonder.
Drakara from the Elemental Plane of Earth, infusing the world with vitality and nature's strength.
Zephyr from the Elemental Plane of Air, inspiring curiosity and the desire for exploration.
Seraphis from the Plane of Muses, filling the tapestry with the colors of art and inspiration.
Morvath from the Plane of Shadows, granting the gift of life's end and the mysteries beyond.
Selene from the Celestial Realm of the Moon, bringing the gentle glow of night and the realm of dreams.
Kaelor from the Plane of Law, enforcing justice and order upon the growing tapestry.
Valeria from the Elemental Plane of Fire, protecting the hearths and homes of mortals.
Orynthia from the Plane of Divination, sharing glimpses of the future and the realm of prophecies.
Vossir from the Plane of Craft, infusing the world with ingenuity and invention.
As the deities wove their essences into the tapestry, the material plane began to take shape—a realm of interconnected elements, each with its own purpose and identity. Yet, even as the threads of creation intertwined, two beings from the far reaches of existence sought to disrupt the harmony: Maelok, born from the twisted corners of chaos, sought to unravel the threads and spread deception and corruption.
Lysandra, a conqueror from realms beyond, sought to dominate the tapestry with her ruthless desires.
Recognizing the threat these beings posed, Eldros and the twelve deities united their powers to protect their creation. The cosmic clash that followed shook the very foundations of the tapestry itself, but the unity of the twelve benevolent deities prevailed. Maelok and Lysandra were cast away to distant realms, their influence contained. To honor the sacrifice and unity of the twelve, Eldros bestowed upon them the ability to manifest on the material plane through the devotion of mortals. Temples were erected, rituals performed, and legends woven as the deities' influence spread across the world. And so, the material plane came into being—a woven tapestry of elements, shaped by the inner plane beings and the benevolent deities. Mortals, as the inheritors of this cosmic legacy, became weavers of their own stories, intertwining their threads within the ever-evolving design of creation.
