Chime of Forceful Opening

A hollow mithral tube about a foot long, similar to the superior Chime of Opening but far more dramatic. When struck, the Chime of Forceful Opening sends forth magical vibrations that cause locks, lids, doors, valves, and portals to open. It also automatically dispels a hold portal spell or even an arcane lock cast by a wizard of lower than 15th level. Each sounding only opens one form of locking. A silence spell negates the power of the device.
A brand-new chime can be used a total of five times before it cracks and becomes useless. Unlike the Chime of Opening, this opens the lock in the most destructive way possible, breaking open locks and setting off any traps or alarms associated with the lock, including magical wards.
