Small Bags of Shared Holding

These small, grey cloth bags have an interior space larger than their outside dimensions and weigh only 1l each no matter what is inside them. The bags can hold 20lbs, which is equal to 40 Potions or 1000gp.
When found, there are 3 Bags of Shared Holding. Once per day, a new bag can be pulled from inside the original bag, which is scruffier and marked with a singular rune, to add to the total bags that share the holding space.
If the bags are overloaded, pierced, or torn, they rupture and are destroyed, and the contents are scattered in the Astral Plane. If any bag is turned inside out, the total contents spill forth, unharmed.
Placing any bag of holding inside an extradimensional space created by a Handy Haversack, Portable Hole, or similar item instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane. The gate originates where the one item was placed inside the other. Any creature within 10 feet of the gate is sucked through it to a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes. The gate is one-way only and can't be reopened.
