Staff of Redirection

The Staff of Redirection functions like Counterspell, using the wielder’s highest spell slot level as its highest able casting level. Useable as a reaction against any spell that the wielder can see, as long as the targeted spell is equal or lower to the wielder's highest spell slot or lower then the Staff of Redirection succeeds instantly. 
On success, the spell can be either dispelled or the wielder can make a Spellcasting Ability Modifier contest against the original caster to redirect the spell effect. If the spell is at a higher level than the wielder’s current highest spell slot, then the wielder can make a spellcasting contest, though only able to dispel rather than redirect on any roll other than a Natural 20.
