Emile Moscovici

Biography

Born on April 11, 1932, Emile Moscovici was gifted from conception. A descendant of the Oprichniki line, Emile was born a Revenant. Having inherited the traits of a Ghoul, Emile never integrated properly with society for much of his childhood. Growing at only a quarter of the rate of other children ensured that he was consistently moved from one residence to another to avoid attracting unwanted attention. His father had fled from the Tzimisce of Romania, fearing of eventual plans by the vampire clan to cull the bloodline. Emile was mostly sheltered from this facet of his life, and eventually when he could pass for old enough to do so attended medical school where he became a vascular surgeon, thanks in no small part to the supernatural aid his heritage gave him. His father's fears would soon prove not to be unfounded, and Emile would be forced to leave home as one of the Tzimisce located his family in Philadelphia and murdered his parents.

Fleeing steadily west, Emile eluded his hunters for several decades. During this time, he grew to be a gifted surgeon, and fell back on religion to comfort him during the more stressful times where he found himself fearing for his life at the hands of the vampires of Clan Tzimisce. In the course of his life on the run, Emile would meet and marry a young woman by the name of Lana Sandoval. Together with her, he had a lone child, Nicolas. However, fearing that he would bring the wrath of the vampires upon his family, Emile eventually departed from his family and fled to Los Angeles in the 1960s.

It was in Los Angeles that Emile no longer had anywhere further west to run to. Finally, Emile was captured by Clan Tzimisce. Faced down with a monstrously inhuman Ancilla, Emile braced himself for death, but it never came. Instead, his captor introduced himself as Constantin Moculescu, a childe of one of the Old Clan - not that Emile knew what that meant at the time. His pursuer had admired Emile's persistance and saw potential in the surgeon. Instead of slaying Emile, Constantin opted instead to embrace the Revenant. Finally, among the Cainites, Emile Moscovici could stop running and have a home of his own. Constantin would introduce his new childe into the Sabbat, and would opt to remain in the United States and expand the reach of Clan Tzimisce.

Emile changed faces several times between his embrace and the final nights. He remained in Los Angeles with his sire, and the two made up reclusive if respected members of the Sabbat within the city. Emile was often criticized as lacking the willpower to leave behind his humanity and fully embrace a path of enlightenment, but ignored the jabs of his Sabbat peers. Indeed, it was at the urgings of his sire that he did not rush to follow the ways of the Sabbat whole-heartedly. Now, with the advent of the Gehenna War, Constantin has been called back to his ancestral lands by his own sire to prepare for the coming of the Antediluvians. In his stead, Moculescu entrusted his holdings in Los Angeles to his childe for safekeeping. However, his childe, with very little support from his sect and unversed in the modern ways of the clan, quickly found himself overwhelmed and unable to keep his promise. Targeted both by aspiring Camarilla and up-and-coming Anarcs, Constantin's estate was ransacked and many valuables stolen.

Faced with the prospect of breaking his promise to his sire, Emile finds himself in an awkward position in which he must implore the Sabbat, among whom he is regarded with suspicion, for aid. While older than many of the vampires in the sect, only now is Emile stepping out of the shadow of his sire to fill his own.
